Richly illustrated with essays and previously unpublished images, it brings to light new material from Amund Dietzel, Tatts Thomas, Percy Waters, Bert Grimm, Charlie Wagner, Frank Howard, and many others. Highlights include the collections of pioneering tattoo artists and suppliers Huck Spaulding (1928-2013), "Tattoo Charlie" Geizer (1905-1980), and Edward "Dad" Liberty.
